Coph Nia has quickly managed to establish themselves as one
of the most charismatic and innovative bands on legendary
label Cold Meat Industry's roster. With their magnificent blend
of dark soundscapes, beautiful hymns, blasphemous sermons
and occult philosophy, the band continues to gain recognition
all over the world for their praise of the esoteric and shrouded.

Is Coph Nia an echo from sombre renaissance chambers,
where thinkers and artists could be free of the shackles of
petrification and dogmatics? Or perhaps a reflection of a
darkened world, spiraling out of control into an age of madness?

Coph Nia is an ever changing entity which never seem to
stagnate or repeat itself - a varied sound that still manages
to retain a characteristic style, in a world where musical
offerings seem to get increasingly soulless and bitter as
the years go by.

This famous industrial artist doesn't really fit into any known
musical categories. His magical audiovisual performances
and powerful chanting brings the audience to higher grounds
where the air is thinner and the scenery is magnificent.

One of the Swedish noise scene's most well kept secrets:
All the way from Berlin comes this prominent Covenant
member to make one of his rare performances as Cement.
The musical approach may be described as minimalistic
and monotonous. He labels it Imperial Noise!

BOCKSHOLM (sv)
Bocksholm is a project by two men who had their childhood
damaged from living in an area of ironworks; forced as they
were to hear the sounds of machines, metals, hammers, and
to get covered with soot every day. Now they say: "All this
was a setup made by the local authority to force us to become
the industrial giants we are today. The Bocksholm project is
not a homage to Boxholm, but a threat against the town of
Boxholm and its existence. What they did to us are unforgettable,
unacceptable, unforgivable but yet unbelievable.
We want revenge!"

DOWN IN JUNE (sv)
No slavish imitators Sweden's Down In June deconstruct
and lavishly, as well as lovingly, reinvent songs from the
Death In June catalogue with their own distinctive Totenpop
vision. As The Byrds were to Dylan so Down In June are
to Death In June. A very rare and surprising discovery awaits!

Saturday 26th of July. Doors open at 3 pm.
Festival ends at 3 am.

DISTRO
At INDUSTRIAL VACATION there will be a market space
held by Merkado. Merkado is a designer's market for
un-established designers in the Öresund- region. It started
in 2006 and is a non-profit organization. At Industrial
vacation Merkado is represented by 4 designers,
chosen especially for the occasion. This summer you can
find merkado in Folkets park, Malmö the following dates:
June 28th-29th and August 2nd-3rd. In the market space
at Institutet you will also meet musicians, presenting and
selling their music.
