Club BrainCorp & Club Stahlwerk present:

Das Boot festival: the prequel

Thursday the 17th of July at M/S Stubnitz, Teglholmen, Copenhagen, close to Sydhavnen Station. Doors open at 19.30. Entrance 100 DKK. No pre-sale, only tickets at the doors.

We had already started to work on the Das Boot Festival which will be held Friday the 5. of September at Forbrændingen, when we with very short notice were informed that our favourite ship M/S Stubnitz is coming back to Copenhagen, so we did a hell of a work to get a party ready for you and a line-up with 2 stages/dancefloors, quality bands from Denmark, Sweden, and England. + DJs. We hope for your support for this one with a lot of exciting up-coming bands.

Mainstage: Industrial/EBM/Synth stage:

Red Cell (S)
The Swedish band Red Cell played in Copenhagen a few years ago at the church in Møllegade. Since then a lot of things has happened, they got a record deal with the fast growing label Progress-Productions (home of Sturm Café, Iambia, Necro Facility, Cryo etc.). Red Cell has released two albums and the 2nd one is just out called “Lead Or Follow”. Red Cell´s sound can be described as Future Pop with some Industrial Rock influences.

Neotek
Neotek has released one album in 1995 called “Brain Over Muscle” and it was rereleased as a double album in 2004. Neotek hasn’t played a gig in Copenhagen since their last gig at Stubnitz in July 2006, where they played together with bands like Suicide Commando, Grendel, Solitary Experiments, All Gone Dead, and Portland. So here is the chance to see this Danish cult band again, with a sound that compares to a mixture of Nine Inch Nails and Front 242.

Fake The Envy
Fake The Envy is probably one of the most active Synth Pop bands we have in Denmark. They have in the span of a few years already released 2 albums on their record label Idle Work (also home of Machinesoldier), and the 3rd one is already in the process. Fake The Envy has played a couple of shows in Copenhagen, where they have supported bands like VNV Nation, Client, and Helios. Fake The Envy plays pure Synth Pop and has a sound you can compare to bands like Mesh, De/Vision and Elegant Machinery.

2nd stage: Power Noise/IDM stage:

Autoclav 1.1 (UK)
Hailing from the UK comes one of the big talents in the IDM scene, Autoclav 1.1, who has released a lot of remarkable albums on the American labels Crunch Pod, Hive Records. The new album called “Love No Longer Lives Here” on the rising label Tympanik Audio (home of Displacer, Pneumatic Detach, Subheim etc.) in the US. In some ways, you can compare Autoclav 1.1 to the excellent IDM bands Gridlock and Somatic Responses.

A-E
Shouldn’t need more introduction as the person behind A-E called DJ HAL a.k.a Tim, has been in the scene in Copenhagen for a long time, and has played several concerts here in Copenhagen with bands like Winterkälte, Klangstabil, and In Strict Confidence. A-E started as a pure Power Noise project, but since then, A-E has developed a more melodic sound where he adds some IDM influences into his tracks.

Command Interface
The person behind Command Interface is Lars, who has a lot of music projects where the most famous ones are Hate Therapy and ZBR. Command Interface is another side project, which offers right in your face Power Noise. Here is no lack of danceable noisy tunes for you. Command Interface is a kind of ‘Old School’ Power Noise as some people call it nowadays. It’s easy to hear that Command Interface has influences from great bands/projects like Converter, Winterkälte, Punch Inc., 100 Blumen etc.
